[ Guessing from that sigh, he didn’t want her to notice? But it was hard not to notice a scar on his face. Takeru’s face of all people. Seeing him with a scar wasn’t something she thought she would ever do. She hadn’t even thought of it. When she thought of the meeting she figured he would still have that baby face. Okay, not exactly… but by that she figured he wouldn’t have battle scars. It was just too foreign. Even for her, a girl who had been to America and back.

Mimi only knew the existence of the record shop because she had been here before, too many times to count. She knew every store that was running in this area. Making her the perfect tour guide, almost. Except she really wasn’t a guide.

“Good! It works out perfectly.” And she’s following him as soon as he walks. “Yeah, I’ve been okay.” She comments once she catches up. “What about you? You look like you’ve had a rough time.” Since she had a chance to bring up the scar, she did. ]

Takeru snorted a little at Mimi’s comment about him looking like he’d had a rough time. He shrugged, “It’s not as bad as it looks. I’ve had it better off than some people. I do a lot of…fighting.” He didn’t really want to mention a resistance group out in the open here. The shopping district was always more watched than other places.

He stopped in front of the store and pulled the door open for Mimi, smiling at her. “Ladies first,” he said with a chuckle. It was nice to be doing something like this actually, something so normal. He was glad that this was the first time he and Mimi had gotten together. They had never been that close as kids and well, it would have been awkward to just get together and talk about stuff. This was much better really. It made things seem like they really weren’t so bad.
