Saturday / July 14 / 3:10am - Prison Cell
“Checking if you’re lying to me,” Yamato said smoothly as he pulled away. Takeru didn’t have a fever, that was good. He sat next to Takeru, though he left a bit of space between them. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to be near his brother, but rather that he thought it would be better for Takeru if he wasn’t around Yamato. But, Yamato really didn’t want to bother moving back across the cell. That would take too much energy, energy he really didn’t have. He didn’t know if he could even fight against the guards if he could have gotten out tonight anyway. He was wiped out.
He leaned his head back against the wall and closed his eyes. The pain from his injuries became a dull ache once he stopped moving. That was good. He could sleep with a dull ache, but a sharp pain was a little more difficult to deal with.
Takeru frowned at his brother’s answer. “Why would I lie to you?” he murmured, shaking his head a little. He sighed and leaned his head back against the wall. He was tempted to yell at Yamato right now, even knowing how little good it would do.He glanced over at Yamato after that he settled down, “You know, you’re really stubborn.”
It was a simple statement but one that was true. Takeru knew it was a tribute he shared more often than not but right now he hated that Yamato possessed it. He just wanted his brother back but Yamato seemed determined to never let that happen.
